Wedding photography

The Big Day, which is unique and unrepeatable. Capturing a wedding is perhaps one of the most technical of all photo shoots. Not only do you have to be creative, spot the right moment, but you usually have to do it all in a very short space of time and there's no starting again because the angle wasn't right or the light was wrong, or shooting again because the battery is dead. The ring is put on, the first conjugal kiss is snapped and it's over. You have to make the most of the opportunities available at the time and place, but there's also the human factor, who's in the mood, how much they like to be in front of the camera, what inhibitions they have, how much they can open up. You have to be not only a photographer but also a bit of a psychologist to get good pictures. Show your subject's true self in a natural way, and be happy with the images ten, twenty or thirty years later.
