We visited the CSIO*** W Grand Prix Budapest showjumping championshipNot as an official photographer, but a the love of equestrian sports drove us to participate on this International event. It was extremely hot and I did not want to carry my heavy equipment, so I just took a Canon Rebel SL1 and a light but old Canon EF 70-300 lens. The focus is not always as good as it should be and the lens abberation can be visible for the trained eye here and there, but I think finally I could create a useful set of pictures. I sunk into horse photography so much that finally I made more than 500 images. Sice I have this, I thought it would be good to share with others. You can do that as well if you want, just please mention the photographer's name there as well: MoksaPhoto. We had many competitors to cheer for since a few of our friends were riding there as well and many from the Hungarian team. We sat in the middle of the left side of the tribune, under an umbrella that was set up to block the sun a little bit, but my left leg still got burned pretty bad. I learned on the hard way that I always should keep sunscreen in my backpack as a standard accessory if I go somewhere in the summer with my camera. :) |
